Back on 2009 I was spending over $300 on my monthly communications bill. This included home phone, internet, and television.
So here is what I did.
1. I cut off my home phone (-$60+ a month)
2. Replaced Home phone with Magic Jack at $1 a month.
3. I cut off the overrated satellite TV (-$130+)
4. I switch to Basic Cable... Dont Laugh I have no DVR boxes or PPV
5. I switched my 3mbs DSL to Cable High Speed internet for a total of $97.00 for internet and cable. The Magic Jack works a lot better on Cable internet.
6. With a Netflix subscription at $8.99 my total monthly cost were cut to around $120.
7. Every TV and computer in my house has a way to watch Netflix. You can use most gaming consoles, certain dvd and blue ray players with network access, and more inexpensive devices such as the ROKU that starts at around $49.
